The 2,701-acre park is located on the eastern flank of Cheyenne Mountain and borders the plains of Colorado in a stunning transition from plains to peaks. The park does a fantastic job of keeping natural condition, and wildlife abundant.
Wildlife in the park includes deer, elk, black bears, cougar, coyotes, foxes, prairie dogs, red-tailed hawks, golden eagles and wild turkeys. It is also home of the North American Aerospace Defense Command, also known as NORAD.
