Challenge: Half-Marathon + Kids Run

Location: JONATHAN DICKINSON STATE PARK – HOBE SOUND – FL
Hundreds of trail runners joined DTR to celebrate the beginning of the winter season and the end of a spectacular year with the 13.1 Winter Endurance Challenge. Some were first timers running through the beautiful Jonathan Dickinson State Park but everyone enjoyed this scenic Half-Marathon and Kids Challenge.
Trail runner go to experience the famous “Dunes of Heaven”, rolling hills of white sugar sand, under perfect weather conditions with temperatures between 60-70 degrees turning this challenge into the perfect end-of-the-year trail race. This is Florida Trail Running at its best. All participants received a commemorative DTR 13.1 finisher’s medal, a tech long sleeve shirt and goodie bag with other treats.Join us for the next trail run event in South Florida.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park
Located just south of Stuart, Florida, this park teems with wildlife in 13 natural communities, including sand pine scrub, pine flatwoods, mangroves, and river swamps. The Loxahatchee River, Florida’s first federally designated Wild and Scenic River, runs through the park.

The Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc. is a Citizen Support Organization (CSO) whose function is to serve as a source of financial support for the many physical needs the park has that are not funded by the state.
